SABABA! When someone asks you, “How was the film last night?” Say, “Sababa.” “How’s your day going?” “Sababa.” “Want to go out later?” “Sababa.” “What’s up?” “Sababa.”
Sababa is a Middle Eastern slang term that essentially means “good.” Sababa, originally Arabic, took off in the Hebrew lexicon sometime in the 1980s or ’90s. As used now in Israel, it essentially means “good.” In different contexts, it can also mean “awesome,” “fun,” “okay” and, according to the online Urban Dictionary, “shibby, cool, great, no problem, all-right.” When one feels happy, excited or heard great news you would use the word Sababa!
Sababa is not just a word ~ it’s a way of life. It’s the highest rank of ‘cool’ saying to describe anything. Sababa is used when you’re in a conversation with someone. Many would say, “Superbowl is Sababa!”
The word Sababa--can get you surprisingly far. You can always add in the word Sababa, which keeps the conversation going… like “yeah, sure, great, awesome, cool, right totally, good job” etc. Sababa is a new internet slang like LOL.
Sababa can also be used together with , ‘achla’ (from Arabic) in the famous “achla sababa” combo — for truly special occasions. This food is achla. So we’ll go out at 10. “Achla sababa.” Achla makes it even greater.
If Sababa were a feeling it would be relaxing on the beach in a beach-chair, with sunglasses on and a stereo on the side. If Sababa were a destination it would be the breathtaking beautiful scenery when you’re skiing high up on the Alps on the top of the world.
